Mission: to educate the public about the links between common environmental exposures and human health.
National Pesticide Information Center (NPIC) A collaboration between Oregon State University and the US EPA. Originally at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center; in 1995 it moved to OSU.
Mission: to serve as a factual source of information for professionals and public audiences on pesticides and related issues.
North American Pollinator Protection Campaign (NAPPC) Founded by the Pollinator Partnership in 1999, based in San Francisco. Runs large conferences and programs such as Pollinator Week and Pollinator Roadsides. Task forces work on specific projects.
Mission: to promote the health of pollinators in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico.
Pollinator Partnership (PP) Founded in 1997, based in San Francisco.
Mission: to promote the health of pollinators, critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research.
Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation Founded in 1971, based in Portland, Oregon.
Mission: to protect wildlife through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitats.
Federal Pollinator Health Task Force. Founded by the Obama Administration in 2015, co-chaired by the USDA and the EPA. Worked closely with NAPPC and PP; in 2016 issued the Pollinator Partnership Action Plan. In 2017, the federal administration disbanded the Task Force. Since then, as far as we can tell, pollinator research protection is being left largely to the states.
